The song “Stars” has always been one of my favorite songs by Fogelberg. To me, this song speaks beautifully to the longing for a past love of his which remained unrequited. Jeanne Fogelberg (Dan’s wife) has said that many of the love songs on his first 2 albums were written about this particular woman.
