Welcome to Musical Chairs!-a project where I release a daily music video featuring myself performing with a rotating lineup of fellow musicians and loved ones.
Today’s post (#22 of 31) covers John Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses”. I am joined by my nephew, Patrick O’Brien.

A note from Patrick O’Brien: Cornfields and calloused hands. Pursuit of the American Dream of owning a home through hard work and appreciating everything you have even if it isn’t very much because it could always be much worse. A reminder that we live in the Home of the Free.
Be thankful. Separate from my own interpretation of the song itself, the song goes much deeper into the wonderful memories of performing it with my uncle Dennis. Dennis has always been like a big brother to me offering advice from topics such as relationships, business, and of course music. I’ve been blessed to share the stage with Dennis performing this song all over the western suburbs of Chicago as well as Dublin, Galway, and Belfast Ireland as well as Liverpool England. Those locations and the memories of performing it with Dennis inspired the Irish pub we built in our basement where we filmed this episode of musical chairs.
Location note: Patrick's home.
Happy holidays! Please enjoy and share!
